TheVic Terms and Conditions: What You Actually Need to Know
Before playing at TheVic Casino, every user enters into a legally binding agreement with Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited. The Terms and Conditions govern everything from account registration and wager validity to withdrawals, bonuses, and liability. This article breaks down all key sections of the TheVic user agreement without cutting the substance.
Who Operates TheVic
TheVic is operated by Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited, registered in Gibraltar (company number 120385). It’s part of The Rank Group Plc, which also runs Grosvenor Casinos, Mecca Bingo, Bella Casino, Magical Vegas, Spin&Win, and several other brands.
For UK players, the service is licensed and regulated by the Gambling Commission of Great Britain (licence account number 57924). For players outside Great Britain, it falls under the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner (licences RGL No. 133 and RGL No. 134).
What the Terms Actually Cover
When you register an account or use the service, you’re entering into a legally binding agreement. That agreement isn’t just the main Terms and Conditions — it also includes:
- Poker rules (for poker products)
- Sports betting rules (for the sportsbook)
- Individual game rules (found in each game’s ‘i’ button or settings/help section)
- Any specific terms tied to promotions, competitions, or bonuses
If there’s ever a conflict between the main T&Cs and any of these other documents, the main T&Cs take priority. If you can’t find a copy of any of these documents, Customer Services can provide one.
It’s worth saving a copy of the terms for your records, along with confirmation emails and transaction data.
When the Terms Can Change
Material changes to the Terms of Use come with at least 14 days’ notice — by email, website notice, or account message.
Minor changes get no advance notice. So it’s worth checking the terms from time to time.
If you continue using the service after a change takes effect, that counts as acceptance of the new terms. If you don’t agree, you can close your account.
Products and services can also be added, removed or modified at any time. Where a change is materially to your detriment, prior notice will be given where possible — but some changes (like regulatory or security requirements) may happen immediately without warning.
Who Can Open an Account
To register, you must:
- Be 18 or older and above the legal gambling age in your jurisdiction
- Be located in a Permitted Jurisdiction: UK, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, or Gibraltar
- Not be self-excluded (including via GAMSTOP or any other multi-operator scheme)
- Register for your own personal use only — not as an agent for anyone else
- Not already have an open account for the same brand
- Not have previously had an account that was closed
When you open an account, you’re also confirming that:
- You have the mental and legal capacity to be responsible for your actions
- You’re in a fit state of mind and not under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- You’re using your own funds that you can afford to gamble with
- You’re not subject to bankruptcy proceedings where gambling would breach that arrangement
- You haven’t previously had an account closed due to wrongdoing
- All registration details you’ve provided are true and accurate
- You won’t engage in any prohibited conduct
- You’re not placing wagers based on insider or non-public information
Underage gambling is a criminal offence.
Account Registration and Security
When registering, you’ll need to provide your name, address, date of birth, country of residence, email, and phone number. Keep this information current — update it through “My Account” or via Customer Services if anything changes.
Your username and password are your responsibility. All activity on your account is your responsibility when the correct login details have been used. If someone else accesses your account because you left a device unattended or shared your details, that’s on you — including any losses they run up.
Change your password regularly. If you share devices with young people, install parental control software.
Verification Checks
Identity, age, address, location, financial circumstances, and source of funds may all be verified. This can involve requesting documents such as a passport, driving licence, utility bills, bank statements, or photographs of ID.
By registering, you agree to these checks being carried out at any time and to providing whatever documentation is reasonably requested.
Your account may be suspended and withdrawals withheld while verification is ongoing. If you fail to provide requested documents, or if checks reveal false information, your account can be closed.
If you’re found to be under 18, all wagers placed while underage will be voided, deposits returned, and no winnings paid.
Where the Service Is Available
The service is only available to users in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, and Gibraltar. If you access the service from outside these areas, your account can be closed and any unsettled wagers cancelled.
Using a VPN to disguise your location is prohibited. Any winnings generated while accessing the service from outside a permitted jurisdiction won’t be paid. It’s your responsibility to comply with local gambling laws wherever you are.
How Wagers Work
All bets and wagers must be placed online. Telephone, email, post, and fax bets are not accepted.
A wager is only valid once the system confirms it’s been accepted and payment has been received. Once accepted, a wager cannot be changed or cancelled. Make sure all details are correct before you place it.
There must be enough funds in your account to cover any wager. Minimum and maximum wager amounts apply to specific games and sports — these are detailed in the relevant game or betting rules. Maximum winnings limits also apply regardless of how much you wager.
If there’s any dispute about a wager, the records held by the operator are the final authority (except where negligence, fraud, or manifest error is involved). Where a screen result and a game server result differ, the game server result stands.
Errors, Malfunctions and Interruptions
Technical issues happen. When they do, wagers affected by them are void — and any winnings or bonuses attributed to those wagers won’t be paid.
Errors covered include:
- System or communications failures, bugs, severe lag (called “Interruptions”)
- Game malfunctions affecting mechanics, maths, displayed results, or return-to-player rates (“Malfunctions”)
- Misstated odds, obvious pricing errors, or wagers accepted after events have started
- Errors in wager settlement or incorrect winnings distribution
Erroneous winnings — meaning anything paid out that wouldn’t have been paid out but for the error — are void regardless of whether they’ve already been credited to your account. If you’ve already withdrawn erroneous winnings, you’ll need to repay them.
If you notice or suspect an error, stop using the relevant service and report it to Customer Services immediately.
Deposits and Withdrawals
Deposits and withdrawals must use the payment methods listed on the website. The payment method must be in your own name.
Credit cards are not accepted — including credit cards linked to PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or similar services.
No fees are charged on withdrawals. However, your bank or payment provider might apply their own charges — that’s outside the operator’s control.
Withdrawals can only be made to payment methods previously used to deposit. For a first-time bank transfer, a statement showing name, address, sort code, and account number is required.
Withdrawals are subject to:
- All payments being confirmed as cleared and not reversed
- Verification checks being completed
- No active investigation into errors, malfunctions, or suspected prohibited conduct
Interest is not paid on account balances. Winnings may need to be declared for tax purposes depending on local law — that’s your responsibility.
Chargebacks and payment reversals are not permitted. Any detected fraudulent payment activity will result in account suspension or closure and recovery of any associated winnings.
How Your Funds Are Protected
Customer balances are held in a designated bank account separate from business funds. This is done to ensure there are always sufficient funds available for withdrawals.
The funds are held on trust, for the sole purpose of enabling withdrawals or placing wagers. This meets the Gambling Commission’s requirements for customer fund segregation at the medium level of protection. There is no absolute guarantee that all funds will be repaid in an insolvency scenario, but steps have been taken to protect them.
Dormant Accounts
An account is classified as dormant if there’s been no login for 12 or more months.
If there’s a positive balance, you’ll be contacted at least 30 days before the account becomes dormant. You can reactivate it at any time simply by logging in.
No funds are deducted from dormant accounts, and consumer rights are not affected by dormant status. The same level of protection applies to funds in dormant accounts as in active ones.
Bonuses and Promotions
Bonuses can include free bets, free spins, or credit awarded through competitions and promotional offers. They come with specific terms — always check those.
Key rules for bonuses:
- Wagering requirements must be met within the stated timeframe. If none is specified, the default is 30 days from when the bonus was added.
- Bonus funds can only be used on the website or its associated app.
- Cash balance must be spent before bonus funds are used.
- Winnings from mixed cash/bonus wagers are split proportionally between cash and bonus balances.
- If you withdraw before completing wagering requirements, the bonus balance and any related winnings are forfeited.
- Multiple active bonuses may have combined wagering requirements — contact Customer Services if you’re unsure.
Promotions can be withdrawn, amended, or cancelled at any time. Restrictions may also apply to your account for regulatory reasons (including safer gambling obligations), which could limit your ability to participate in certain promotions.
Account Closure — By You or the Operator
Closing your account yourself: Contact Customer Services at any time. Your real money balance will be returned, unless there are grounds to withhold it under the terms.
Account closure by the operator: Your account can be closed, limited, or suspended at any time. Where possible, notice will be given — but not in cases of serious breach.
If prohibited conduct is suspected, the account will be suspended without notice while the matter is investigated. Funds cannot be accessed during suspension. If the investigation concludes that prohibited conduct occurred, the account may be permanently closed, relevant bonuses and wagers voided, and details passed to regulatory or external authorities.
Where an account is closed for regulatory or legal reasons, any positive real money balance will generally be refunded — except where illegal activity is involved, or where prohibited conduct has been identified.
Safer Gambling Tools
Several tools are available to help manage gambling activity:
- Net deposit limits – set a cap on daily, weekly, or monthly losses
- Reality checks – timed reminders of how long you’ve been playing
- Take a break – temporary account lockout from one day up to six weeks
- Self-exclusion – closes the account for a minimum of six months, applied across all Rank Interactive websites and apps
Self-exclusion applies to all brands within the group. During a self-exclusion or break period, you must not attempt to reopen existing accounts or create new ones.
GAMSTOP self-exclusion is also supported. Once registered with GAMSTOP, the exclusion takes a few days to become active. GAMSTOP is only as effective as the information you provide — if your details across accounts are inconsistent, the exclusion may not catch everything. You’re responsible for providing accurate and consistent details.
If you manage to bypass a self-exclusion by using different personal details, any winnings generated as a result will be withheld.
There’s no liability for losses incurred if you circumvent self-exclusion — whether through using a different name, different account details, or by registering while GAMSTOP is temporarily unavailable.
Fraud, Cheating and Prohibited Conduct
Prohibited conduct covers a wide range of activity. It includes:
- Any form of fraud, identity fraud, payment fraud, or money laundering
- Collusion with other players
- Using bots, automated software, or third-party player assistance programs
- Deliberately exploiting errors or malfunctions
- Betting on fixed events or using insider information
- Abusing bonuses or promotions
- Using a VPN to access the service from an excluded territory
- Depositing or withdrawing without genuine play (suspected money laundering)
- Chargebacks or payment reversals
- Sharing, uploading, or promoting harmful or illegal content
- Providing false registration information
- Allowing another person to use your account
- Opening more than one account per brand
- Introducing malware or attempting to gain unauthorised access to the platform
If prohibited conduct is identified, consequences include: voiding of wagers, forfeiture of bonuses and winnings, suspension, and permanent account closure. You may also be held liable for any losses caused to the operator as a result.
Any information related to prohibited conduct — including personal data — may be shared with regulators and other relevant parties.
Liability
Consumer rights under law are not excluded or limited by the terms. There is also no cap on liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
Outside of those protections, liability does not extend to:
- Unforeseen or indirect losses
- Business losses
- Losses caused by third-party equipment or services
- Losses resulting from a breach of the Terms of Use
- Damage to devices or data (except where caused by failure to exercise reasonable care)
- Errors, malfunctions, or interruptions (except where caused by negligence)
- Events beyond reasonable control — including cyber-attacks, natural disasters, pandemics, infrastructure failures, and acts of war
Where liability does apply and relates to a wager or misapplied funds, the maximum cap is the greater of the relevant amount or £1,000.
Complaints and Disputes
Complaints should be raised with Customer Services as soon as possible, and within six months of the relevant incident. Complaints raised after six months may be rejected.
For anything related to the functionality or outcome of a specific game or wager, the deadline is tighter — seven days — to allow for accurate technical investigation. Include the Game ID and a screenshot when raising this type of complaint.
If you’re not satisfied with the outcome:
- UK residents can escalate to the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS) at ibas-uk.com.
- Non-GB residents can contact the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner, citing a “regulatory complaint against Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited.”
Intellectual Property and Software
All content on the website and app — including text, images, software, graphics, and design — belongs to Rank Interactive or its licensors. You can’t copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any of it.
The service is for personal, non-commercial use only. Any third-party software required to use certain features comes with its own end-user terms, which you agree to by using it.
General Legal Points
- The Terms of Use are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.
- Players in other permitted jurisdictions retain the right to bring claims under their own local laws as well.
- The terms are only available in English.
- No verbal or written statement from a Rank Group employee or contractor overrides the written terms.
- Rights under the Terms of Use cannot be transferred to a third party by you. The operator can assign its rights but will notify you if this means a different organisation takes over responsibility for the service — at which point you can close your account.
- If any part of the Terms of Use is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
Terms effective from 16 December 2025. Last reviewed December 2025.
